The School Counseling program at UNC School of Education is a 14-month and 60 credit-hour program based on innovative Strengths-Based school counseling framework.

Our school counseling program is  accredited nationally by Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

The Ph.D. in School Psychology is an 64 credit hour program program that leads to licensure as a psychologist in North Carolina as well as most other states.

The doctoral program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) and approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)

The Human Development & Family Studies program is an interdisciplinary pre-professional program prepares you for a career and/or graduate program in human services, counseling, allied health, and education.

The program has been recognized by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR) as a program offering coursework that fulfills the requirements for the Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) credential.
